Hey friends.  This is probably going to be a pretty busy blogging week for me.  I’m thinking at least one post each day this week, so I hope you’ll stick with me and come back each day.

First, I have a quiz question for you.  Can you guess which of the peanut butter & chocolate chip granola bars shown below came from Aldi in the Aldi-brand granola bar box, and which one came from Kroger, in the Kroger brand granola bar box?

  1. meriambull says:

But the real question is which box was cheaper? BTW – Del Monte cans Kroger brand and Walmart brand vegetables. The only difference is the label. (I don’t know about Aldis vegetables.)

  2. Greg says:

I tried the Aldi website meal planning feature this week and made the following dinners:

    Asian baby back ribs
    Greek chimichangas
    Chicken cordon bleu
    Asian pork kabobs

Bought all ingredients plus snack food, side dishes, milk, eggs, butter, fruit, bread, some drinks, a few boxes of cereal, and a few things for Connor and spent less than $70.
    Everything I made was outstanding…

Seriously peeps… Aldi’s the bomb. The same list would probably have been $120-$130 at Kroger or Ingles.

  3. Jason says:

It is the bomb. And the Kroger box was actually 5 cents cheaper than the Aldi box, but I bought the Kroger one on a “Kroger Card” special. Without the special Kroger pricing, it would have been 20 cents more expensive.

  4. jeph says:

    top one is kroger’s?

  5. Jason says:

good guess, but no. the top one is Aldi. the bottom one is Kroger. sorry man.
